Hunter’s View Blocks 14 & 17

Hunter’s View Blocks 14 & 17

San Francisco, CA

Hunter’s View Phase III is a 118-unit, LEED Gold affordable housing community in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood designed by David Baker Architects.

For Blocks 14 and 17, BŌK Modern provided custom anodized aluminum Simple Mount Sunshade systems and a large-scale wallscreen spanning the pedestrian bridge connecting the two buildings. The bracketless sunshade panels mount directly to the building envelope, eliminating secondary support structures and simplifying installation, while the wallscreen provides screening and solar control and visually connects the two residential blocks.

Fabricated off-site as a complete kit-of-parts, all panels were precision laser cut, finished, and delivered ready for installation by O’Kane Structural Steel. BŌK Modern collaborated with David Baker Architects and the Cahill / Nibbi JV team from design assist through completion.
