Emerald Glen Aquatic Park

Dublin For a new water park in Dublin, California, BŌK Modern provided exterior front facade panels in a pattern designed to evoke water bubbles. The same pattern was also used for both security fencing and low safety partitions around the pools and slide areas, all fabricated in aluminum with a clear anodized finish. Typical BŌK Modern minimalist detailing of the bracketry allowed the design of the patterning to be brought to the forefront, accentuating the floating aspect of the circular bubbles. 1 Henry Adams BŌK Moderns founding Principals firm, NC2 studios, was engaged to provide interior design services for a multi-family project in the SOMA district in San Francisco. Featured are two large backlighted ceiling panels that define the lounge areas. Located on a former railroad switching yard, NC2 designed a pattern to emulate the tracks as a nod to the history of the site. Park Valencia To define and provide security for a children’s play area, the designers created a playful custom pattern for a perimeter fence in a busy Retail center and adjacent vehicular circulation paths. The openings, emulating alligator skin, are small enough to prevent climbing yet open enough to provide visual security. 1500 Mission Canopy BŌK was initially asked to provide panels only to clad a fabricated truss system that cantilevered out from the street 25 feet typical and 40 feet at the corner. Due to costs exceeding the budget, BŌK designed an alternative system that utilizes folded plate to emulate the truss system dramatically reducing the cost of the canopy while also providing a much better aesthetic.
